"Dean" Ulerick, 73, Kokomo, passed away 2:26 p.m. Saturday,
Nov. 15, 2008, at St. Joseph Hospital Emergency Room. Born west of
Walton on Jan. 10, 1935, to Frank and Edna Bell (Daniels) Ulerick. He
married Marilyn "Jeanie" (Miller) Ulerick Nov. 24, 1956, in
Kokomo and she survives. He served in the Army in Vietnam for one tour of duty. Dean worked for Continental Steel for 23 years. He later worked for Nickles Bakery in Kokomo. He was a lifelong farmer. He loved farming. In addition to his wife, Marilyn "Jeanie" Ulerick, Kokomo, he is survived by a brother, Frank Ulerick, Kokomo; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Max "Dolly" Keller, Kokomo, and Shirley O'Neal, Lebanon; several nephews and one niece; and lots of special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald and Don Ulerick; and two sisters, Pauline Riley and Mary Leiter. Services are 3 p.m. Tuesday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home, 401 S. California St., Galveston, with the Rev. Warren Purcell officiating. Burial will follow in Galveston Cemetery. Calling is noon until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
