Joy Jean Keating, 75, Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Young America, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, in Clearwater, Fla. She was born Jan. 21,1933, to Eddie and Margaret (Maze) Logan. She married Hollis G. Keating, on Feb. 11, 1953. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1991. Hollis and Joy celebrated 37 years of marriage together.

Joy worked for Moore’s Pie Shop in Kokomo and also at France Park near Logansport. She was a member of Upper Deer Creek Church, Galveston. Joy enjoyed her daughter Hollie and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Hollie S. Miller, Clearwater, Fla.; grandchildren, Nichollis and Logan Marie, Clearwater, Fla.; brothers, Marty Logan, Alabama, and Wayne Logan, Indiana; sister, Sue Harness, Clearwater, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Hollis.

Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home Galveston Chapel, 401 S. California St., Galveston, with Grant Merrell officiating. Committal of ashes will be held at Center Cemetery near Young America immediately following services at the funeral home. No calling hours are planned.
