Beverly Joan Miller, 84, Young America, passed away at 5:50 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  She was born January 11, 1933 in Howard County.  

Beverly retired from Lewis Cass High School as the principal’s secretary in 1998 with 37 years service.   She enjoyed reading books in her spare time.

Surviving family include her husband, Leon Miller, Young America; son Alan (Julie) Miller, Murrieta, CA and grandchildren, Jared Miller and Jessica Novello both of Murrieta, CA  She also had five great grandchildren.   She was raised by her mother and step father, Nellie M. and Howard Dunkle who have preceded her in death as well as one great grandson.

Beverly’s wishes were for cremation.  No services are planned.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warrior Project at the request of her family, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.   Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements.  A message of condolence may be sent to her family at www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
