Blanche Eileen Mary (Luck) Brock

July 23, 1921 ~ May 15, 2017 (age 95) 95 Years Old

Blanche Eileen Mary Brock passed away on May 15, 2017 at  Eastlake Terrace, Elkhart, IN after a long battle with dementia/Alzeimers.. She was  born July 23, 1921 on Kruston Farm, Irchester, England to  Joseph Harry and Lily (Wright) Luck.
She married Edward E. Brock Jr. in Irchester, England on May 19, 1945 in St Katherine's Church.  He passed away on November 28, 2014.  She is survived by  two children, Gloria J. (William) Duell of Canton, OH , David A. (Pamela) Brock of Elkhart, IN and, one Daughter in Law, Marilyn (Jim) Berry of Kokomo, IN, 7 grandchildren; Mark (Rebecca) Duell of Lewis Center, OH, Michael (Lisa) Duell of Nobleville, IN, Misty (Kevin) Phillips of Kokomo, IN, Randall (B.A. ) Brock of Eurgene, OR, Andrew (Jessy) Brock of San Francisco, CA, Edward IV (Darlena) Brock of Kokomo, IN and Jeffrey Brock of Elkhart, IN.  She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Bazil (Loretta) Luck of Rochester, MN and Graham (Marilyn) Luck  of Rochester, MN. and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Edward III and Steven, one grand-daughter, Pinky Duell, two sisters Edna (Lee) Peterson and Pamela (Clifford) Stehlik,  three brothers, Godfrey (June) Luck,  Maurice( Nella )Luck and Kenneth(Virginia) Luck.

Blanche served in the British Women's Land Army in Central England during World War II when she met her future husband, where he was stationed during the war. She moved to Indiana, USA shortly after the close of World War II with her husband and infant daughter.

She  was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her family and her greatest joy was spending time with family. Many a Sunday afternoon was enjoyed with Blanche cooking and laughing with her family in the home Edward had built for their family in Indiana.  She will be much missed by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 22nd at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Rev. Sean Cooper officiating.  Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of services at 3:00 pm at the funeral home on Monday.  Online condolences may be sent to her family at www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements.
