Connie L. Brown, 81, of Walton, passed into eternity at 7:15 a.m. Monday, Janaury 1, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born May 14, 1936 in Cass County to Wilson and Isa (Winters) Sprinkle.   She married Charlie Brown on September 4, 1955 in Arizona and he survives.

Connie worked as a slide operator for Elco which later became Tinnerman in Logansport, retiring with 30 years service.  She was a graduate of Tipton Twp. High School in 1954.  She was a member of the American Legion Aux and served as secretary for the TIPWA little league for many years.  She was also a member of Walton Christian Church in Walton.  She enjoyed fishing, gambling, especially playing the slots, reading and her grandchildren.

Surviving family include her husband, Charlie Brown, Walton, IN; her children, Pam (Mike) Taylor, Galveston, IN; Cindy (Scott) Marschand, Galveston, IN; and Tony Brown, Logansport, IN.  She is also survived by grandchildren, Sarah Franklin, Amber (Chad) Carver, Kirby (Zach) Griffith, Ben (Caitlyn) Marschand, Betsy Marschand, Jeff (Krista) Marschand, Evan Brown and Morgan (Jacob) Mroczkiewicz.  Also surviving are nine great grandchildren and one on the way, and a sister Judy Baber of Walton.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Don Sprinkle and a granddaughter Emily.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 3rd at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston.  In keeping with Connie’s wishes, there will be no services.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston and Walton has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
