Keith J. Wright, 90, of Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord at 8:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 at Northwoods Village Nursing Home in Kokomo.  He was born September 6, 1926 in Kokomo to Ervin Wright and Lillian F. (Fawcett) Wright Kingery.   He married Barbara Jean “Jeanie” Conwell on September 27, 1946 in Kokomo and she survives.  Keith was a farmer and worked for Chrysler Corp. for over 30 years.  He graduated from Clay Twp. High School in 1944.  He loved model airplanes and was an avid wood carver.  He made several violins and gave most of them away.  Keith and Jeanie enjoyed traveling and had been all over the world.   They also enjoyed wintering in Arizona for over 30 years.    Keith served his country in the Army Air Corp during WW2.

Surviving family include his wife, Barbara Jean “Jeanie” Wright of Kokomo.  His children, Larry Joe Wright, Kokomo; Kristie Lynn Smith, Frankfort; Ronald Wayne Wright, Chandler, Arizona and Beth Ann Andrews of Kokomo.  He is also survived by six grandchildren, Chad, Derek, Matthew, Shawn, Michael and Michelle, six great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, a half brother, Michael Wright and a half sister Carol Ann Whitehead also survive him.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Corine Andrews, brother, Jerry Wright and half brothers, Joe, Bud, Meredith and Tom.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 16th  at the First Baptist Church in Galveston with Pastor Paul Martin officiating.  Burial will take place at Galveston Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Friday also at the church.    In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Keith’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston assisted his family with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
