Maybelle R. Schuett, 88, of Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord at 2:26 p.m. Sunday, March 19th 2017 at Community Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo.  She was born April 8, 1928 in Cass County to Loren E. and Mabel (Whitesides) Runk.  She married Robert R. Schuett on June 26, 1971 at Winona Lake, Indiana.  She was an English teacher retiring in 1994.  She taught at Maxwell and Atwood High Schools and also taught in Warsaw, Indiana in Jr. High.   Maybelle earned her M.A. Degree at Ball State University in 1970.   She attended Bennetts Switch United Methodist Church and after retiring, joined the quilting group at Anoka United Methodist Church.  She also enjoyed classical music.

Maybelle is survived by special nieces and nephews, Vernon (Dixie) Keller, Bennetts Switch; Kassandra Jaramillo, CA; Wallace Lee (Terry) Wright, Ridgecrest, CA; Patricia Ann (Jerome) Kasper, Milwaukee, WI; and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded by her husband Robert Schuett and brothers, Miles Frederick, Wayne Everett, Paul Virgil, Stanley Robert, Loren Everett Jr and Homer Meryl Runk and sisters, Sara Frances and Dawn Caroline Runk.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 24th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Rev. Norm Snyder officiating.  Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston have been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
