Reba Herron, 85, of Kokomo, formerly of Galveston, died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Kokomo Place Assisted Living Center in Kokomo.  She was born January 28, 1932 in Luttrell, TN to Fred and Nettie (Seymore) Dukes.

Reba worked for Cuneo Press in Kokomo for several years.  She enjoyed crochet and quilting.

Surviving family include her daughter, Janice Johns, Kokomo; step son, Dennis Herron, Kokomo and one grandchild, Casi Nicole.  She is also survived by her siblings, Gene Dukes, Judy Bailey and Brenda Pollard.   She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sterling Glen Groseclose Sr., her second husband, Jesse M. Herron, her son, Sterling Glen Groseclose Jr. and four siblings, Nalda Slaughter, Ted Dukes, Roy Dukes and Ilah Washam.

Private family services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Rev. Don McDowell officiating.  Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.   The family has requested no flowers.  Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Kokomo Humane Society.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
