Reese E. Hinshaw

June 4, 1932 ~ September 21, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Reese Eugene Hinshaw, 85, of Galveston, passed into the arms of Jesus at 7:25 pm Thursday, September 21, 2017.  He was born June 4, 1932 in Hamilton County to Ross and Nellie (Goff) Hinshaw.  He married Darlene Dale on March 29, 1955 in Kokomo at the First Church of the Nazarene and she survives.

Reese was a truck driver for many years.  He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Logansport and a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.  He enjoyed doing magic tricks for all ages.   Reese served his country in the US Army as a medic.

He is survived by his loving wife Darlene; his children, Vickie Fawley, Logansport; David Hinshaw, Logansport; and Cheryl Hinshaw, Kokomo; nine grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.  He is also survived a brother Dale (Shirley) Hinshaw of Cicero, IN.   Reese was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Michele Blackburn, and brothers, Don, Max and Jerry Hinshaw.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday September 26, 2017 at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Jeff Allen officiating.  Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery in Kokomo with Military Honors.  Friends and family may visit with the family 11:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, 109 W.
