Rev. David L. Perry

February 7, 1955 ~ August 6, 2017 (age 62) 62 Years Old

Rev. David L. Perry, 62, of Twelve Mile, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday evening at his Church, Trinity Holiness Chapel in Lincoln, Indiana.   He was born February 7, 1955 in Bloomington, Indiana to Richard and Esther (Freeman) Perry.   He married Ada Bailey on September 1, 1973 in Cincinnati, Indiana and she survives.

David retired from North Central Indiana COOP in 2002 with 30 years service.  He pioneered Trinity Holiness Chapel in Lincoln, Indiana in 1989 where he served as senior pastor until his home going.

He was a graduate of Bloomington South High School in Bloomington, Indiana.  He was involved with the Prison ministry at the Miami County Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill for several years.  He enjoyed collecting antiques, especially old tractors, butter churns and pocket knives.  He loved gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty three years, Ada Perry, Twelve Mile, IN; his children, Michael (Pamela) Perry, Denver, IN; Aaron Perry, Bloomington, IN; and Rebecca (Jeremiah) Richards, Peru, IN; his grandchildren, Seth, Kaitlynn, Jackson and Brent Perry and Jadelynn, Kyleigh, Miah and Brayden Richards.  He is also survived by four brothers, Daniel, Samuel, Mark and Jim Perry and four sisters, Anna Smeltzer, Mary Jerrells, Martha Davis and Sarah Jones.   He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joseph Perry.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 12th at Trinity Holiness Chapel, 10111 Lincoln Walnut Street, Lincoln, Indiana with Pastors, Michael Perry and Keith Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport.  Visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m. Friday, August 11th at Trinity Holiness Chapel in Lincoln.  Memorial contributions may be given in his honor to the church.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements.  You may leave a condolence to his family at www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
