Ronald G. Brown, 76, of Galveston passed away at 10:15  p.m. Saturday, May 6th.   He was born February 13, 1941 in Sycamore, Indiana to Delbert and Mary “Molly” Brown.   He married Joyce L. Brittain on May 26, 1972.   She preceded him in death Feb. 16, 2013.

Ron was a millwright for 44 years for Chrysler retiring in January of 2004.   He graduated from Galveston High School in 1959 and then went on to serve his country in the Air Force Reserves.  Memberships include the UAW local #685, Kokomo and the Cass County Coon Hunters.  He loved coon hunting with his dogs.

Surviving family include his daughters, Lynda (Ron) McClory, Walton, IN and Kim (Randy) Cooper, Mooresville, IN; grandchildren, Elizabeth Pense, Rochelle Pense, Rachel Wines, Ashley (Matt) Anderson, Kayla McClory and Jessica (Shanil) Masani; four great grandchildren, Chloe Mynatt, Emma Mynatt, Brody Anderson and Sloan Anderson.   He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce, and two brothers, James and Steven Brown.

There will be a celebration of life service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Roman Oglesby officiating.  Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Houndsong Rescue, 7538 Catalpa, Hammond, IN  46324.   You may leave a condolence to Ron’s family at www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston assisted his family with arrangements.
