Rosalie Hutchins, 89, of Macy, passed away early Thursday morning at her home. She was born May 24, 1927 in Kokomo to Raymond and Allie (Weaver) Ronk. She married Kenneth R. Hutchins on February 19, 1951 in Forrest, Indiana and he survives.
Rosie worked for Delco Radio in Kokomo in her early years; she later worked for the Howard County Treasurers office. She graduated from Galveston High School in 1945 and was still active in the Galveston High School Alumni Association. She was a member of the Omega, Pi, Tau Sorority and the Indiana state square dance callers association.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Hutchins of Macy, children, Cathy Mathews, Kokomo; Sandra (Ike) Hulet, Russiaville, Jeff Hutchins (David Stewart) Chicago; and Daniel (Nan) Hutchins, Macy. Surviving grandchildren include, Sandra Walter, Sherri May, Brian Calhoun, Christine Long, Brandi Knepley, Kyle Hutchins, Kasey Hutchins, Todd Hutchins, Travis Hutchins, Kim Ferrel, Greg Mathews, Tracey Robinson and Toni Burns. Rosalie also has 29 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Jean (Don) Hardin, Galveston and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Rev. Gail Law officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kokomo. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
