Stephen E. Kerby, 74 of Greentown, passed away at Community Howard Hospital in Kokomo.  He was born July 11, 1942 in Greentown to Eugene Kerby and Norma (Davis) Marshand.   He married Jean Cox on June 4, 1963 in Akron, Indiana and she survives.  Stephen retired from Chrysler in 1992 with 30 years service.   He was a graduate of Eastern High School in Greentown and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, but his love was farming.

Surviving family include his wife Jean Kerby, Greentown; daughters, Barbara (John) Ragan, Atlanta, IN; and Susan Kerby, Morrow, OH; grandchildren include, Trisha (Ben) Gordon, Eaton, OH; Jennifer (William) Mayes, Kokomo, IN, Aimee Ragan, Atlanta, IN.   He was also looking forward to a great grandchild who is on the way.   Stephen is also survived by one brother, James (Vickie Teachnor) Kerby, AL.   He was preceded in death by his parents and step parents, Eugene and Dorothy Kerby and Norma and Carl Marshcand, and one sister Garnet Brankle.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Rev. Thad Steward officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greentown.  Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. Friday, March 24th at the funeral home.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
