Charles E. Wolfenbarger, 69, of Galveston, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. Charles was born August 4, 1949 in Kokomo to Glen T. and Ruby D. (Burnette) Wolfenbarger. He married Patricia Matheson on May 31, 1978 and she survives.
Charles was a pipefitter for Chrysler for 33 years, retiring in 2000. He was a former owner of Dusty’s Tavern in Galveston and founder of the smart section. He was also a member of the Walton Masonic Lodge F.&A.M. and Scottish Rite Valley, Indianapolis. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing golf, fishing, camping and playing darts.
Surviving family include his wife Patricia Wolfenbarger; his mother, Ruby Wolfenbarger, daughters, Dawn (Roberta) Miller, Jennifer Wolfenbarger and Angie (Jerry) Alexander. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Rob Dockerty, Samantha Beck, Ashley Sheetz, Kaitlyn Pruett, five great grandchildren and one sister, Glenda (Phil) Bostic. He was preceded in death by his father Glen.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 5that Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Masonic services at 5:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
