Clifford B. Williams, 89, of Walton, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family, early  Wednesday morning at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  He was born May 23, 1928 in Blackwater, Virginia to Jessie W. and Ethel B. (Satterfield) Williams.  He married Edna Alice Proffit in Kokomo on December 13, 1962.  She preceded him in death on February 5, 2001.

Clifford retired from the Kokomo Spring Company on January 3, 1991 with over 35 years service.  He attended Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in Kokomo and enjoyed clocks, tractors, cars and farming.

He is survived by his son Robert and wife Bobbie Williams of Peru, Indiana and his grandchildren, DeDe (Jamie) Hornberger, Michigantown, IN; Angela (Mike) Pruitt, Bargersville, IN; and Kristen (Traner) Tyra of Sharpsville, IN.  He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Morgan and Hailey and one great great grandson, Oliver and a sister, Retha Eldridge of Talbot, TN.   He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Edna, son Danny, two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 31st at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with his son, Rev. Robert Williams officiating.  Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to your local church or favorite charity.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
