Don Richard Logan, 86, of San Angelo, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. He was born to Homer A. and Honore J. Davis Logan on January 23, 1932 in Walton, Indiana. He served in the united States Navy for four years and then retired in 1974, after over 20 years service with the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. He served during both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era and was stationed in the Philippines, San Antonio, Anchorage, Alaska, and Germany. Don was a kind man with a great sense of humor, who enjoyed socializing with friends and family. He was a member of the American Legion, Post # 418 for 63 continuous years as well as a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church in Walton, Indiana. Don married the love of his life, Janet Sue Copas on March 2, 1958 in Lafayette, Indiana.
Don is preceded in death by his parents (listed above); brothers, Dean Logan and Tom Logan; and sisters, Carole Zehring, Nancy Robison, and Patty Walker.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Sue Logan; sisters, Dina Gifford and Tonia Fisher; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the friends and staff of Meadow Creek Nursing Home and Hospice of San Angelo for the love and kindness shown during Don’s journey.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 23rd at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Sean Cooper officiating.
