Helen M. Frederick, 85, passed into eternity at 8:15 p.m. Saturday October 7, 2017 at her home in Kokomo.  She was born July 16, 1932 in St. Joseph, MO to Vernon and Dorothy (Ball) Hicks.  She married John Charles Frederick on August 19, 1950 in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her in death on August 9, 1991.

Helen worked for Wilson’s Foods for 20 years retiring in 1990.   She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, and knitting.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Chuck) Cornelius, Kokomo, IN; Cynthia (Billy) Dennison, Dalton, GA; John C. (Julie) Frederick Jr., Ft. Payne, AL.  Her grandchildren, Suzann Rice, Peru, IN; John Paul, Dalton, GA; Jennifer Derby, Hudson, FL; Brandy Riggs, Peru, IN; Brad Frederick, Ft. Payne, AL; Capt. Matthew Derby, Colorado Springs; Ashley Carroll, Dalton, GA; Roy Bit Dennsion, Dalton GA; Natasha Dennison, Dalton, GA and Ryan Dennison, Dalton, GA.  She is also survived by several great grandchildren and siblings, Curtis (Liz) Hicks, Warren, MI; Kenneth Hicks, Redford, MI and Michael (Suzanne) Hicks Pinckney, MI and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, Shane Michael Paul and two brothers, Thomas and Donald Hicks.

In keeping with Helen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time.   A private family committal will be held at a later date.   Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
