As one of many who crossed paths with Helen, I will never forget her. I joined the therapy team at Sycamore Village/Golden Living Center in 2001, and spent fourteen years there until I retired in late 2014. I cannot tell you how many times we shared in depth viewpoints as I provided therapy services directly to her ... or a brief encounter with her as I walked the halls of the unit where she resided. Small and demure ... feisty ... with the heart of a lion ... so very many memories I have of this woman. One hundred years. I am sure they went as fast for her as they have for all whom touched on her journey. All I can say to her now is "When I get to where I'm going, Helen ... I'm bringing plenty of cookies for us to eat ... and a whole lot of towels you were always asking for." My thoughts are with her family as we thank the Lord for his gift of one hundred years with this special woman.
