Janice A. Averill, 78, of Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord at 10:47 p.m. August 10, 2017 at Golden Living Sycamore Village in Kokomo.  She was born April 13, 1939 in Adrian, Michigan to Kenneth O. and Stella B. (Dean) McNicol.   She retired from Kroger’s in Kokomo with 33 years service.  She enjoyed quilting and growing flowers and vegetables in her garden.  Her flowers were her passion.  She also enjoyed cooking, bargain hunting, Sunday dinners with friends, and her beloved dogs.

She is survived by her two children, Amos Carl and Wendy Lou Averill; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister, Sandy (Keith) Menard, TX and two brothers.

Private services will be held in Adrian, Michigan at a later date.   Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaver.com
