Marion L. “Bud” Longfellow, 82, of Kokomo, died at 8:51 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.  He was born December 16, 1934 in Kokomo to Earl M. and Betty M. (Mays) Longfellow.  He married Mary K. VerBryck on Sepember 5, 1958 in Galveston and she survives.

Bud graduated from Kokomo High School in 1953 and went to work for Stellite and then Cabot Corporation until his retirement in 1986.   In high school he won an award for his art painting.  He loved music and played with the Hoosier Strings.

Surviving family include his wife Mary K. Longfellow, Kokomo; his children, Letitia Ward and Bradley (Dawn) Longfellow.  Also surviving are his three granddaughters, Amburr, Alesha and Megan and three great grandsons, Macayle, Hayden and Maximus and cousin, Bill (Ila) Robertson of Galveston.  He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Carla J. Longfellow, brother, Earl Robert Longfellow and nephew, Frank Longfellow.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 207 S. Sycamore St. Galveston, IN with Pastor Sean Cooper officiating.  Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of services at noon.  Memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church of Galveston in Bud’s honor. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
