Phyllis M. Dockerty, 83, of Kokomo, passed away early Monday morning May 27th at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. She was born July 27, 1935 in Logansport. She was married to Marvin Dockerty for over 61 years. He preceded her in death March 2, 2017.
Phyllis worked for Indiana Bell and retired from AT&T with over 20 years service. After retirement she also worked for Vogel Real Estate in Monticello.
Phyllis and Marvin loved boating and water sports and enjoyed their cottage at Lake Shafer for many years.
Surviving family include her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Mendi Dockerty, Kokomo; grandchildren, Cameron (Kayla) Dockerty, Dustin (Katheryn) Wood and Jessica Wood and fiancée Skyler; great grandchildren, Blair, Braylin, Dakota, Landon, Dustin, Addison, Bentley, Damien, Jessica and Oden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, three brothers, Dick, Jim and David Army.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Logansport. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 noon Thursday at the funeral home.
