Hello family---I did not know most of you even if I was Dickie's cousin.....looking back it was a shame really that we lived so close but did not see each other as family members.....I seen Dickie the last time at his mom's funeral service......and I remember singing "when we all get to heaven" at the grave-site service for his mother and my aunt Evelyn.....and as the song says " what a day that will be"......Dickie and I had the most fun together (and we did not know it at the time) of our lives when we spent a couple of summer vacations together at uncle Bob and aunt Ruthann Tolers house helping with farm chores near Burlington ......Dickie was a good cousin, family person, and a plain good guy......who loved Jesus even as a young person....Dickie I will see you in heaven. Many years ago, I was honored to be your family doc. My sincere condolances to you, Christine and family. Dick was alway very helpful to family, and others in time of loss.
I recall an early morning on a very snowy January morning long ago. I had recieved a call from a family west of Galveston that Grandpa appeared to had died during the night. It was the custom for a doc to call in such situations. I talked with Dick at 6:30 that morning. He said the hearse was heavy enough to plow thru the drifts and to meet him at the funeral home. He said "I think that US 35 is open from Kokomo." I followed him to the home, found the old fellow peacibly expired and family grateful for both of our arrival. I still remember the help that Dick offered and thought you might like to hear another story of his servie to the communityl. So sorry for your loss. Jack Elleman

Sending our thoughts and prayers to Christine and the rest of the Murray family. Our mother, Norma Marley Burns, always spoke well of Dick and we were saddened to hear about his passing. The death of a loved one is always difficult to bear, but as believers in Jesus Christ, we know this is not the end. May you take comfort in the shadow of God's wings during this time.
