Roger J. Phillips

Roger Jay Phillips, 70, of Walton, passed away at 10:35 am Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home in Walton.  Roger was born October 1, 1948 in Logansport to John W. and Marjorie L. (Ault) Phillips. He married Mary Beth Browning on April 21, 1967 in Young America and she survives.

Surviving family include his wife, Mary Beth Phillips, Walton; daughter, Dr. Dustardie D. Reed, Galveston; sons, Roger J. Phillips, Walton; and John (Dr. Dori Ann Ditty)Phillips, Walton; his grandchildren, Cameron and R.J. Phillips and Parker and Zoe Reed; brother, Pat Phillips, Walton, and mother-in-law, Betty Browning, Galveston.  A special companion “Kat” also survives him. Roger is preceded in death by his parents and sister Rebecca.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Rod Mason officiating.  Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park cemetery in Logansport.   Visitation will take place from 10:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105
