Ruby DeHaven Shuck, 94 of Walton, went home to be with the Lord at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 26that St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. She was born April 25, 1924 in Lynchburg, Virginia to Charles and Nina (Johnson) Kessler.
She married Robert DeHaven on April 6, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1972. She later married Ned Shuck January 24, 1981 and he preceded her in death in 1989.
Ruby was a LPN for Memorial Hospital in Logansport from 1975 – 1984. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, cooking, traveling and was an avid reader.
Surviving family include her children, Jerry (Lynda) DeHaven, Kokomo; Kathy (Steve) Meadors, Wolcott; and Robbie DeHaven of Logansport. She is also survived by five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers and first and second husbands.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 1, 2019 at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport. Visitation will be held 2 - 6 pm Sunday, March 31stat Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston.
