Thornton Lee Bryan, 80, of Galveston, went home to be with the Lord at 8:41 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  He was born September 26, 1937 in Elwood, Indiana to Clifford and Jewel (Crow) Bryan.  He married Joan B. Goodnight in May of 1959 in Anderson and she survives.

Thornton retired from Chrysler Transmission in 1991 with 34 years service.  He was a member of South Side Apostolic Church in Kokomo.  He enjoyed attending his church, fishing and playing music on his harmonica and steel guitar.  He loved children and had fun sharing his music with them.

Surviving family include his wife Joan Bryan of Galveston and son Thorton “Lee” Bryan and wife Myrna of Kokomo.  He is also survived by one brother, David Beecher Bryan of Myrtle Beach, S.C.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jerry, daughter Joanna and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 4th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Brother Keith Mosier officiating.  Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
