Beverly Moss Obituary

Beverly J. Moss, 76, of Kokomo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, friends, and caregivers Monday, January 29th 2024, at Blair Ridge in Peru, Indiana.  She was born October 17, 1947, in Kokomo, the daughter of William and Kathern (Stanton) Davis.  She married Michael G. Moss Jan. 2, 1982, and he preceded her in death Dec. 2, 2020.

Beverly retired from Delphi (formerly Delco Electronics) with over 30 years of service traveling as far as Singapore for her employer.  She was a member of the American Legion Post in Galveston and enjoyed spending time there with her husband Mike.  Beverly loved spending time with her family and friends, relationships were valuable to her. Beverly's smile could light up a room! She loved her new home, her neighbor Charlene, flower gardens, birds, traveling and spending time on any beach where she was likely to make friends with a pelican and a heron. At Blair Ridge she loved doing puzzles, spending time in the flower gardens, receiving beautiful flower arrangements made by her sister Carolyn and spending time with her new God best friend Linda Phillips. Their beautiful friendship was a witness to everyone around them that God's love knows no bounds. Together they participated in facility activities, therapy sessions, held each others hands for comfort, love, and support, they ate every meal together.  Linda became Bev's voice and held her hand in love as God called her home.

Surviving family include her daughter and son-in-law, Wendi and Ray Oaks of Peru, stepson, Bradley and wife Chassidy Moss of Carmel; grandchildren, Ashlei (Andy) Pickett, Pricilla (Trinity) Akemon, step grandchildren, Alex Moss, Andrew Moss, Lucy (Josh) McKee, Michael Porter. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, Ray Dean Pickett, Porscha Pickett, step great grandchildren, Victoria Akemon, Jenna Akemon, Emma McKee and Audrey Arent and siblings Carolyn Hayes of Kokomo, William Davis Jr. of Russiaville and sister-in-law, Leanne Moss of Kokomo.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael, stepdaughter, Michelle Moss, sister-in-law, Barbara Davis, brother-in-laws, Thomas F. Hayes, and Gary Moss.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Blair Ridge, all the staff who became like family and Heartland Hospice for the loving care they gave Bev during her stay as well as her final days.
