Carl L. Correll, 80, of Kokomo, died at 8:37 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at his home. He was born February 3, 1940 in Peru, Indiana to Orlie and Florence (Kurz) Correll. He married Lora J. Freeman on September 15, 1984 in Kokomo and she survives.
Carl was an electrician by trade, working at Chrysler and Haynes International in Kokomo. He also owned and operated his own tire store, called Tire Division for several years. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and could be considered a handy man. He enjoyed teaching his grandkids how to do things and spending time reading his Bible. Carl was a “collector” of many things. He also enjoyed rearranging words. He loved his family was considered a follower of God.
Surviving family include his wife Lora Correll of Kokomo; sons, Joe (Myra) Trueblood of Kokomo and Dion (Amy) Fanning of Kokomo; grandchildren, Wesley, Justin and Shelby Fanning and Jacob, Jonoah, and Josiah Trueblood and Jessica Strow; sister, Karen Cadwallader of Mexico, and brother, Michael Correll of Peru; brother-in-laws, Ron (Betsy) Freeman of Young America; Gary (Dixie) Freeman of Indianapolis; and Ralph (Loretta) Freeman of Kokomo; sister-in-law, Teresa Freeman, Galveston. He is also survived by a cousin, Neal Freeman.
