Carlton “Butch” J. Memmer, 78, of Kokomo, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at Waterford Place Health Campus in Kokomo. He was born June 16, 1943, in Kokomo to Randall and Eloise (Stahl) Memmer. He married Sharon “Sherry” E. Bullick on March 23, 1967, and she survives.
Carl worked for General Motors / Delco in Kokomo from July of 1962 – October of 2015. He retired in Health and Safety. Carl also served as a EMT for several years.
Surviving family include his wife Sharon “Sherry” Memmer of Kokomo, one brother, Steve (Jean) Memmer, sisters-in-law, Bev Cunningham and Barb (Tom) Chestnut and several special nieces and nephews. Carl is also survived by two special friends, Johnny Overton and Nancy Pine, and his kitties, Peggy Sue and Daisy Mae. He is preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, Melford and Dorothy Bullick, and two brother-in-laws, Richard Cunningham and Phil Bullick.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Jackson Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Galveston Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 noon until services at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.
