Connie Kae Dixon, 79, of Walton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday morning, July 8, 2022, at her home.   She was born September 22, 1942, in Peru, Indiana to Clarence S. and Debra (Wininger) Ronk.   She married John Dixon on December 10, 1958, in Galveston and he survives.

Connie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who demonstrated the love of Jesus Christ to all she touched.  She worked alongside her husband John on their family farm in Cass County.  She also served as a Registered Nurse for many years, working at Bona Vista, for Dr. Phil Burgan and American Health Network in Kokomo and Russiaville.   She was a member of the Galveston First Baptist Church and had taken part and served in the Great Banquet.  She enjoyed all of God's creations, flowers, gardening, crocheting and making her famous pies for Cross America.   She was involved with the Ladies Home Ec Club in Galveston for many years and played piano and organ for the Lincoln United Methodist Church.

Surviving family include her husband John of 64 plus years, her children Kathy Dixon, Karen (Chris) Keisling, Nieta (Terry) Merrell, and Kyle (Kristi) Dixon.  She is also survived by grandchildren, Cam Dixon, Jessica (David) Kassebaum, Jonathan (Abby) Keisling, Matteson (Kyle) Williams, Austin (Katie Daniels) Keisling, Dustin (Briyanni) Merrell, Karlie (Rob) Wright, Kira Archer, Klair Merrell, Hayden Vest, Kalyn Dixon, Carson Vest, Emma Dixon,  and Jacob Dixon.  Great grandchildren include, Harper Dixon, Ezra Kassebaum, Ellie Kassebaum, Nora Keisling, and Brinley Merrell.  She is also survived by brother Neal and wife Judy Ronk.   Connie is preceded in death by her parents, son Chris Dixon, and sister and brother-in-law Sherrin and Buster Carey.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Galveston First Baptist Church with Pastor Sean Cooper officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the Church.   Memorial contributions may be given to the Galveston First Baptist Church in Connie’s memory.   Murray Weaver Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
