Deborah Becker Obituary

Deborah Jean Becker. 73 passed away Thursday April 21, 2022, at 5:15 a.m. at her Bunker Hill home with her family by her side. She fought stage 4 breast cancer since July of 2020. Deborah was born on June 13,1948 in Howard County, Indiana to Howard T. and Dorthea Ruth West.

Deborah loved to go fishing and camping with her family and friends. In 1964 she Graduated Kokomo High School and later worked at Bona Vista Group home as an instructor and became a CNA to work at in home healthcare. Deborah married the late William Rood and later Albert E. Becker on July 30. 2009. She is preceded in death by her late husband Albert, 3 Sisters, 2 Brothers. Still Surviving are three sisters, Cindy (Jim) Clem of Danville. IN. Lila L. Ennis of Bunker Hill. IN., and Susan (Martin) Russell of Kokomo, IN. Three Children Billy (Joanie) Rood of Knoxville, Tenn. Julie (Edward) Moore of Logansport, IN and Bruce (Laura) Rood of Galveston. IN. She had eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and loved ones that she loved so much.

Celebration of Life will be at held on Tuesday April 26th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with services to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Joe McGill officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Galveston Volunteer Fire Dept. in Deborah’s memory.
