Donald W. Heinmiller, 74, of Kokomo, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Bethlehem Wood Nursing Home in Ft. Wayne. He was born March 1, 1949, in Kokomo. He married Glenna Suzanne Brown (Bloxham). She preceded him in death December 11, 2018. Don retired from Haynes International as a Machinery Mechanic. He enjoyed working on engines of all types and collecting tractors, and attending tractor shows.
Surviving family includes his daughter, Trina Heinmiller, and granddaughter, Haley, both of Texas. Brother Tyrone (Linda) Heinmiller, niece Lisa (Tony) Heinmiller Gentry, and nephew Theodore Simonelli II. Great nieces and nephews include Theodore Simonelli III, David Simonelli, Nick Gentry, Justin (Stephanie) Gentry, Josh Gentry, Tyler Gentry, Olivia Gentry, Hannah Heinmiller, Tyrone Heinmiller III, Chelsea Jewett, Zach Jewett, Nick Jewett, and Kyle Jewett.
He is preceded in death by his father Scott Heinmiller, wife Glenna, and sister and brother-in-law, Ramona (Richard) Beach, nephew Tyrone Heinmiller II, niece Kay (Heinmiller) Jewett.
A celebration of Don's life will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Mark Davis officiating. Visiting with family and friends will take place from 12:00 noon, until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
