Edna Glassburn Obituary

Edna Glassburn, 91, of Logansport, went home to be with the Lord at 1:20 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019 at McKinney Place in Logansport.  She was born March 28, 1928 in Kentucky to William and Cora (Smith) Broughton.  She married Elvin Glassburn and he has preceded her in death.

Edna retired from Delco Electronics in Kokomo with over 30 years service.  She later drove a van for the “Y” in Peru for several years.   She was a member of Southside Apostolic Church in Kokomo and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and all kinds of puzzles.   She was devoted to her family and always put her children first.   She took great pride in her work for Delco Electronics. 

She is survived by her children, Sandra (Clyde) McKenzie of Elizabethon, TN, Terri (Tom) Hall, Peru, IN, David (Amy) Glassburn of Indianapolis, IN and step son, James (Phyllis) Glassburn of Tipton, IN.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.   She is preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers, Chet, Floyd and Elga and 4 step children.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 at Southside Apostolic Church, 1716 E. Firmin St., Kokomo, IN  46902 with Rev. Keith Mosier officiating.  Burial will follow in Clymers Cemetery near Bunker Hill. Visitation will be held from 11 – 1 p.m. Friday prior to services at the church.  Memorial contributions may be given to St. Judes Childrens Hospital and Southside Apostolic Church.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
