Eunice G. (Bartlett) Gilbert

Eunice G. (Bartlett) Gilbert, 95, of Kokomo, died at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the home of her daughter in Lucerne.  She was born September 19, 1927, in Richmond, VA to John Edwin and Irene C. (Major) Bartlett. 

Eunice retired from Banking.  During her career, she worked for First Federal Savings and Loan in Kokomo, Union Bank and Trust and Key Bank.   She was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church for many years and enjoyed playing Euchre, watching Travelogue’s and time spent at the Senior Center.

Surviving family include her daughter, Sarah and husband Bob Gordon of Lucerne and son Allen W. Gilbert of Kokomo.  She is also survived by one brother, James E. (Yvonne) Bartlett of Gynn, VA; sister-in-law, Betty Bartlett of Richmond, VA and sister-in-law, Alice Bartlett of Fall River, MA.   She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons, John W. Gilbert and   Paul E. Gilbert.

In keeping with Eunice’s wishes a memorial service will be held at a later date.
