Floyd L. White Jr., 82, of Kokomo, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 7:05 a.m. Saturday morning, May 27, 2023. He was born February 17, 1941, in West Newton, Indiana to Floyd L. and Mary Helen (Allee) White Sr. On September 4, 1965, at Southside Christian Church in Kokomo, he married Marsha Richmond, and she survives.
Floyd worked and retired from General Motors, Delco Electronics for over 34 years as a machine operator and retiring as a Group Leader in 1999. He loved fishing, playing golf, bowling and was an avid Colts, I.U. Basketball and Cubs fan. He was a member of UAW local #292 and Here’s Hope Church in Kokomo.
Surviving family include his wife, Marsha White of Kokomo; his children, Aaron (Michelle) White of Kokomo; Melissa (Rollie) Copp of Florida and daughter-in-law, Libby White of Kokomo. Surviving grandchildren include, Capri, Joshua, Caleb, Aubri, Willee, Chris, Nickee, Mariah and Anthony. He is also survived by one sister, Marilyn Shirley of Kokomo. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Willard Lee White, and one grandson Matthew White, five brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Here’s Hope Church, 725 Center Road in Kokomo. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2023, also at Here’s Hope Church with Pastor James Murdock officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.
