Fran T. (Snyder) Sutton

Fran Tonnette Sutton, 78, of Walton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 1:04 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  She was born May 8, 1946, in Walton, Indiana to Richard and Doris (Umbarger) Snyder.  Fran married James E. Sutton on December 22, 1962, in Walton, Indiana.  James preceded her in death October 4, 2020.

Fran retired from Elco Industries in Logansport as a multislide operator with over 29 years’ service.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.  She truly enjoyed every minute spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving family include her two daughters, Tina Price of Walton and Doris Dancy and husband Tom of Rochester.  Her grandchildren include Tim Sutton and wife Kaylu of Logansport; Nora Sutton and husband Jaleel of West Lafayette; Samira Sutton of Logansport; Monica Hipsher of Logansport; and Nolan Wilkinson and wife Anna of Walton.   Surviving great grandchildren include, Alicia, Lacey, Taye and Tamia Sutton; Jory Al-Turki; Clayton, Colton and Chandler Cripe; and Alexis, Ameira Hipsher and Andrew Barrett.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James, brother, Richard and sister Connie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston.  Funeral services will follow on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Palmer officiating.  Fran will be laid to rest next to her husband James in Ever Rest Memorial Park in Logansport.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Judes Children’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
