Jacqueline "Jackie" Snyder Obituary

Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Snyder, 66, of Walton, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 19, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.  She was born September 8, 1959, in Augsburg, Germany to Lt Col John A Hopkins and Geneva Masavage. She married Dennis Snyder on December 31, 1993, and he survives.

Jackie worked for Living Essentials as a scientist for several years.  She was especially involved with the 5-hour energy drinks, which are so popular today.  She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, bible studies, fishing with her husband Dennis also there yearly fishing trip to northern Minnesota with friends and family, listening to Christian music, going to home and garden shows and playing euchre.  Jackie was also involved with Open Arms Women’s Shelter in Kokomo.  She had a huge heart for those in need.  She was a member of Family Worship Center in Kokomo and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #418 in Walton.

Surviving family include her husband Dennis, her children, Bradley Henry and companion Amanda Hosier, Keith Henry, Nicole (David) Lowe, Derek (Hannah) Snyder, and Dane (Megan) Snyder.  Her grandchildren include, Skylar Schultz, Dalton Lowe, Bryleigh Byers, Presley Snyder, Ace Snyder, Finley Snyder, Jax Snyder and Hattie Snyder.  Her siblings include, Diana (Ron) Birden, John (Susie) Hopkins, Tom Hopkins, Becky (Sam) Griffith, and Rodger Bickel.  Brothers and Sisters’ in-law are, Stewart Snyder, Christopher Snyder and Michelle (David) Delk.  She is also survived by her stepparents, Kay and Larry McDowell, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins and special friends.   Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Nettie Bickel, mother-in-law, Ruby Snyder and sister-in-law, Suzanna Snyder.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Jim Bradley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Walton IOOF Cemetery in Walton, Indiana.  A time of visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Open Arms Women’s Shelter, 929 North Main Street, Kokomo, Indiana. 46901.
