James O. “Easy-B” Beaver, 80, of Kokomo, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. He was born September 15, 1942, in Kokomo to George L. and Zethel (McClain) Beaver. He married Shirley O’Shea on February 4, 1967, and she survives.
James worked for Delco Electronics in Kokomo and retired with 34 years’ service. After retiring, James went to work with his son Zachary, at Galveston Auto and Truck Repair. While working there, he picked up the nickname “Easy-B”. Anyone who knew him knew what a kind and easy-going person he was. In his spare time, James enjoyed reading, crafting, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Beaver of Kokomo; his children, Angela (John) Ousley, Zachary Beaver and Tanya Beaver. Surviving grandchildren include, Krystal Daugherty, Traci Beaver, Andrew Roberts, Lyric Beaver and Berklee Beaver. Great Grandchildren include Kasey Caudil, Novaleigh Roberts, Emerald Taylor and Beckett McKoon. James is preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, and one granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Ousley.
Visitation will take place from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022 at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial will follow in the Galveston Cemetery. Remember to leave a memory of James right here on our website on his Tribute Wall.
