Obituary


James Oscar "Pat" Record (Kokomo) passed from this life on Friday, February 25, 2022. Born to Carl and Edna (Ellis) Record on December 22, 1930, Pat developed a love for working with his hands from an early age. He turned this passion into a lengthy career at Conkle Pontiac in Kokomo, IN as well as in service to his country as a member of the Army during the Korean War. He retired from mechanic work in the 1990s and married Linda (Wilson) Record in 1992.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Edith M. (Richter) Record, siblings Carl J "Jim" Record, Helen Landgrave, Loren "Pete" Record, and Robert Record, and step-granddaughter Shelby Sandefur.
He is survived by a brother, Leo "Red" Record (Anoka), half-brother Marvin Ashby, his children Jo Ann Sikorski and Richard "Rick" Record, step-sons Charles Garrett and David Sandefur, grandchildren Gregory Blackburn, Ryan Record, and Justin Record, step-grandchildren Heather Garrett and Joshua Garrett, five great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
