Joe Warner, 89, of Galveston, passed away on March 6, 2022, at 3:40 a.m. at Waterford Place Health Campus in Kokomo. He was born September 10, 1932, in Howard County, Indiana to Tom and Pearl (Patterson) Warner. Joe married Rovena (Scalf) Warner, and she preceded him in death.
Joe retired from Delco Electronics in Kokomo with 42 years service. He was a graduate of Galveston High School and a member of the Cushman Club and the Antique Car Club. He enjoyed swap meets and collecting Cushman cars and antiques. He served his country in the United States Army in Korea.
Surviving family include his daughters, Sandy (Larry) Barrett, of Crystal River, FL and Penny (Bud) Hester of Galveston, IN. Surviving grandchildren are, Wayne and Zach Trusty and Matt Hemley. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and several close nieces and nephews and a special friend Rick Warner. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Rovena, brothers, Doc Warner and Leo Warner and sister Willadean Warner.
In keeping with Joe’s wishes there were no services. He was laid to rest beside his wife in Crystal River Cemetery in Crystal River, Florida. Murray Weaver Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
