Twice he rode his motorcycle to California. He and Margaret made 3 car trips to Alaska, and several trips out west.

He is survived by his children, Jeanette (Kent) Land of Russiaville; Tim (Dora) Allen of Logansport; Tom Allen of Logansport; and son-in-law, Ted Neuschwanger of Bloomington.  He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one brother, Joe Allen of Flora.  John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margaret, daughter, Becky Neuschwanger and brother, William Allen.
