Joset “Jody” E. Rush, 72, of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born May 5, 1950, in Kokomo to Jack and Juanita (Watson) Chism. She married Larry W. McKee on October 26, 1968, and he preceded her in death on November 10, 1990. She later married Dennis Rush on August 30, 2008, in Tennessee and he survives.
Jody and Larry owned and operated King’s Pizza in Walton for many years. She enjoyed gardening, bowling with the Ally Cat’s Bowling Team, watching Jimmy Swaggart on T.V. and most importantly, her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and husband Dennis.
Surviving family include her husband Dennis Rush, Logansport; her children, Jeff McKee, Kokomo; Tarei St. Clair, Kokomo; Stacy (Ryan) Engel, Peru; Gregory D. Rush, Galveston; and Tina R. Rush of Canton, MI. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Braxtyn (Austin) Kaylor, Nixon Engel, Ben Engle, Brady St. Clair, Madelyn St. Clair, Evan Rush and Brady and Carson Shideler, a great granddaughter, Kennedy Kaylor and siblings, Jay Chism of Glendive, Montana and Jackie Quinn of Wibaux, Montana. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. Jody is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Larry W. McKee and her mother and father-in-law, Ray and Bonnie Rush.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Bill Collings officiating. Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Jody’s memory. Visitation will take place on Monday, July 4, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
