Linda Kay (Smith) Baer

Linda K. Baer, 66, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at her home.  She was born November 13, 1957, in Torrance, California to Edward Lee and Molly Lee (Weaver) Smith.  She married David E. Baer on June 12, 1976, in Logansport.  David preceded her in death on March 26, 2020.

Linda lived to serve people.  She retired from Mr. Happy Burger in Logansport with over 34 years’ service.  She was always the happiest serving others.   She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving family include her three daughters, Heather Baer, Alisha Baer, and Angela (David) Klein, all of Logansport. Her grandchildren, Ashton, Kaidynz, Savanna, Elliot, Alexis, Atley and Trenton.  She was also looking forward to the arrival of her first great grandson Rylan Grey Klein who is on the way.  Linda is also survived by siblings, Cathy Smith of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Gene Smith of Mooresville, Indiana and Tina Huffman of Henderson, Nevada.  She is preceded in death by her parents and husband David.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m.  Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating.   Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband David in the Galveston Cemetery.
