Margaret J. Byerline, 82, of Kokomo, passed away early Monday, November 29, 2021, at Community Howard Regional in Kokomo. She was born March 19, 1939, in Hawkins County, Tennessee to John and Grace (White) Taylor. She married John E. Byerline in 1970 in Rochester, Indiana and he survives.
Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, bird watching, puzzles, and word search. Her family was her pride and joy. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for many years.
Surviving family include her husband John Byerline of Kokomo, her children, Michael J. White, Vicki Lynn Willis, Michelle Taylor and Renee Murphy. Surviving grandchildren include, Rachel (Derick) Rucker, Joshua Laplaca, Jackson Taylor, Jonathan Gorham, Brittany (Chris) Wells, Kasey Trine, Bailey Trine, Teighlor Trine and Whitney Cross. Surviving great grandchildren are Brycen, Brooklyn, Kristin, C.J., Ben, Aubrey, Julian, Jordyn, Nekoah, Nash, Nevyn, Madlyn, Paisly and John Michael. Margaret is also survived by siblings, Earl Taylor, Roy (Kathy) Taylor, Dolly (Jerry) Overbay, Jack (Minnie) Crawford, Horace (Pam) Taylor, and Don Taylor. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Brandon Strunk and several siblings.
Funeral services will take place at 3:00 p.m Monday, December 6, 2021, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Mark Davis officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
