Mariam L. Carver, 95, of Kokomo, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, just after her 95th birthday at Jefferson Manor in Kokomo. She was born February 3, 1927, in Galveston to Paul and Edith Boring. She married Charles Richard Carver on February 25, 1944, in Kokomo and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2007. Mariam enjoyed teaching Sunday school at Galveston United Methodist Church in Galveston for many years before moving away from Galveston in the 1970’s.
Mariam worked hard to help make ends meet. She worked for thirty years with Delco Electronics in Kokomo. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to her family caring for their every need.
She is survived by her children, Judy Stroud of Galveston; Jeffery (Leisa) Carver of Galveston; Mark (Doreen) Carver of Ohio; and Charles R. (Angela) Carver of Logansport. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and her little dog Saddie.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Galveston Cemetery with Pastor Sean Cooper officiating. No public visitation is planned.
