Mary Lou Cain, 81, of Logansport, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Miller’s Merry Manor. She was born August 29, 1941, in Peru, Indiana, to Earl L. and Dorothy H. (Schwalm) Wolford.
Mary Lou graduated from Tipton Township High School in the Class of 1959. She retired from Security Federal Savings Bank in Logansport with over 37 years’ service. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church for many years where she served as a Deacon. Mary Lou never met a stranger, she loved to make people laugh and enjoyed helping her neighbors and working outside, especially mowing her grass barefoot. She was also an avid bowler for many years.
She is survived by her brother, Doyne (Barb) Wolford of Logansport and a sister, Joyce Pullen of Walton, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Carolyn Kraay, and husbands Eugene C. Isaacs who preceded her in 1993, and Robert H. Cain who preceded her in 2009.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 9, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with services immediately following visitation at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Bill Collins will officiate services and burial will follow in Walton IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society or Weekday Religious Education of Cass County. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to all the staff of Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport for the excellent care and love they gave Mary Lou during the five years she was a resident, with an extra special “Thank You” to the staff on the Boulevard Unit.
