Matthew J. Pauley, 41, Galveston, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. He was born Nov. 22, 1970, in Belvidere, Ill., to Ralph O. Pauley and Judy ( Brown ) Pauley. He was engaged to Angie Ebert.
He was a former member of UAW Local 685 in Kokomo. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Eisenhower during Operation Desert Storm. He enjoyed spending time with his girls.
Surviving are daughters, Hayley Renee Pauley, Galveston, Ashley Ebert, Muncie, and Kaitlyn Ebert, Galveston; his fiancée, Angie Ebert, Galveston; father and wife, Ralph and Janette Pauley, Florida; brothers, David Pauley, Belvidere, Ill., Jason Swart, Madison, Wis., and Logan Swart, Madison, Wis.; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy, his paternal grandmother, Lorraine Dickey, and maternal grandparents, Mabel and Everett Brown.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Murray-Weaver Funeral Home, Galveston, with the Rev. Kennith Cockrell officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral Home.
