Michael Scott Williamson

Michael Scott Williamson, 73, of Peru, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Blair Ridge Rehab in Peru.  He was born June 20, 1952, to Samuel E. and Phyllis R. (Collier) Williamson. 

Mike retired from NIPSCO with over 34 years’ service.   He worked in many capacities over the years at NIPSCO.  He served his country in the United States Marine’s right after high school.

Surviving family include his children, Melissa (Brad) Arion of Kokomo; Chanelle “Shelly” (Don) Childers, of Rochester; and Brandon Williamson of Peru.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kylie (Dustin) Michael, Lynnsie (Brodie) Brooks, Kristyn Childers, Devin Childers, 3 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and former wife Sherry Whitley of Galveston.  He is also survived by one brother, Sean Williamson of Logansport and an aunt and uncle, Barb and Paul Hipsher of Galveston and two cousins.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Galveston Cemetery.  No visitation is planned. Murray Weaver Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
