Nancy Elizabeth “Peachie” Monticue, of Kokomo, passed away at the age of 100 at Northwoods Village. She was born September 5, 1921in Miami County to Rolla and Ada (Glassburn) Harrison. On October 5, 1940, she married William P. Monticue and he preceded her in death January 30, 1989.
Nancy was a full-time homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening especially raising tomatoes. One year she raised a very special 19-inch beef steak tomato weighing in at 2 pounds. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Kokomo for many years and also the Kokomo Senior Citizens Group.
Surviving family include her five children, Joyce and Joey Wisehart, Jerry and Carolyn Monticue, Patsy and Steve Lees, Jack and Debbie Monticue and John Monticue. Surviving grandchildren include Deani Purvis, Misti Boodt, Scotty Lees, Bridget Lees, Robin Monticue, Marc Monticue, Jacob (Mary Grace) Monticue, Daniel (Val) Monticue, Hannah (Michael) Hanson, Steven Monticue, Leah Monticue, David Monticue, Nathaniel Monticue, Suzanna Monticue, Joel Monticue, Joseph Monticue, Staci Colon and Shannon Childress. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Ally and Carly Purvis, Audrey Lees, Elizabeth Hanson and Matthew Hanson. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband William and siblings, Rod, Wilma Jean, Gale, Betty Lou and Mary Ann.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with services immediately following at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Duke officiating.
