Richard L. Roberson

Richard L. Roberson, 63, of Kokomo passed away unexpectedly at 10:03 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at Golden Living Sycamore Village in Kokomo.  He was born January 15, 1958 in Kokomo to William E. and Beverly J. (Forrey) Roberson. He married Mary Louanna May on September 17, 1983 in Kokomo.  She preceded him in death June 11, 2020.

Richard was a graduate of Haworth High School.   He retired as a press operator for Syndicate Sales in Kokomo with over 20+ years’ service.  He attended First Church of the Nazarene in Kokomo and was an avid fisherman. 

Surviving family include his siblings, Deborah (David) Roberson Bowser of Galveston; John (Mychelle) Roberson of Galveston; and Dan (Amy Pulley) Roberson of Peru, IN.  He is also survived by several special nieces and nephews.   He is preceded in death by his parents, former wife, Mary L. May Roberson, brother, Paul A. Roberson and sister, Linda S. Roberson Lowman.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston.   Private family funeral services will be held on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Marc Watkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery in Kokomo.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Kokomo Humane Society in Richards memory.  Due to COVID-19, face masks are required for both visitation and funeral services with social distancing expected for all attending. Murray Weaver Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
