Robert Lee Ailor, 81, of Peru, passed away at 5:09 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at his home. He was born May 4, 1940, in Russiaville, Indiana to James and Alice (Damewood) Ailor. He married Margaret White on July 6, 1963, and she survives.
Robert was an Electrician for Delco Electronics for several years. He graduated from Kokomo High School and enjoyed woodworking, guns, and fishing.
Surviving family include his wife Margaret Ailor of Peru; his children, Tamara (Donald) Cass, Scott (Lorie) Ailor, Mark (Wendi) Ailor, and Jennifer (Steve) Thomas. Surviving grandchildren include Amber (Ryan) Soughers, Brittany Cass, Caitlyn Ailor, Danielle Thomas, Emily Thomas, Simon Ailor and Hudson Ailor. Surviving great grandchildren include Braylee Pierce, Ayla Pierce, Lily Kite and Bentley Kite. Robert is also survived by two brothers, Wayne, and Clayton Ailor. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James and sister, Ruby.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. In keeping with his wishes, Robert was cremated. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
